Blinding

I think this is the most compelling piece of climate change communicaitons I've ever seen. This is cold hard logic, and it's going round the Internet like wildfire.

Check this out. Now.

Are you a champion?

Defra has launched the new competition to find the 2008 climate change champions.  Will you be the next West Midlands' champion? If you are between 11 and 18, read on.  Defra says,

"..entrants will be challenged to submit a news report, documentary or case study demonstrating: 'How best you can encourage your friends, family, school or community to make positive steps to reduce their carbon footprint'.

The winning Champions will attend a European climate expedition and will get to meet senior Government and international representatives to talk about the issue.

They will also receive a digital camera to record their 'time in office' and £1000 to organise a climate change themed event at their school or college, or within their community.

Full details on the competition at www.climatechallenge.gov.uk.

The deadline for entries is 9 November 2007.

Climate change celebration

An event to celebrate what young people all over the West Midlands have been doing to raise awareness of climate change is taking place at Austin Court in Birmingham on Wednesday 28th November.   This is your opportunity to show what you have been doing and to find out what others have been up to.  Arti Halai, Central TV's breakfast news presenter will host the day.  Do come along.  For more information and to book places and display space, go to http://http://www.wmnet.org.uk/go/cc_whatshappening
